*It Is Easy Being Green | When Rains Come

*It Is Easy Being Green | When Rains Come

Green looks best when it’s wet…

In Oregon, it’s been a long time since the thirst of the land has been satiated.

When the slow… soaking… dripping… quenching rains return…

It will once again return to easy being green.

  1. Ha! Good for you! I love that you are making up missed challenges, and this one is simply beautiful. I’m very happy to hear that you are getting rain at last. Lovely photos!

  2. Thank you for the lovely compliment, Elizabeth. Confession… these wet leaves were the much celebrated outcome of a brief shower at the beginning of August. We have our fingers crossed that the rain in the forecast for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday will be the soaking sort… especially to help with the wildfire situations.

  3. Love drop shots, Jane. 🙂 We’ll be praying for rain out there, too, especially for the sake of controlling the fires. You got a break today–the photo challenge took a week off for some reason.

  4. Thanks for “dropping” by, Janet. I’m so happy to have this bonus time to think about ideas for my catching up goal 😉

  5. I’m so excited! Rain and cloudy days… it’s been such a long time in the waiting.

  6. When the sky is grey and the rains seem to have no end, I’m ready for sunny days. I often say we earn every clear day we get in the PNW, but after so many weeks of hot dry weather, we deserve a good drenching from above!

  7. So true, Lindy. And now, with wildfires, all the more reason to welcome the rains. Looks like they are a sure thing next week on the national weather forecasts.
