Excellent idea for the challenge – and he looks like a pretty neat guy for an artist!!!
Hi Tina-
I’m not surprised this one caught your artistic eye!
Yes, Jim is an incredible artist… 90 years old and still keeping his palette active. The beauty is, he still applies many of the “old school” methods for preparing canvases, “varnishing” his paintings, framing, etc… I love just looking at the old bottles of linseed oil and turpentine. The frames and paintings in the background don’t even begin to represent the hundreds of compositions in his studio… framed and unframed! It is a magical place. (I actually get a bit teary-eyed just thinking about it… such an array of heart, soul, and talent) ~Jane
AND a painter… had no idea, leaving the previous remark. Jim must be one patient man.
Mostly… however, he has at times been known to be a soap-box orator 🙂
Well, I guess with such quiet hobbies, he’s had plenty of time to think… 🙂
Since he retired I’m sure that’s probably true 😉
